Students from Christ the King College recently visited Isle of Wight MP Bob Seely in his Island office for a question and answer session.
The Year 9 and 10 pupils went to Northwood House as part of Oxfam’s Make Schools Safe campaign. The initiative is looking to help 28.5 million children who go to school in countries affected by war and armed conflict and also girls affected by gender-based violence.
The group of students discussed the campaign and also asked Bob questions about his vision for the Isle of Wight, the relationship between Britain and the EU after Brexit, homelessness and ferry costs.
Speaking about the visit, Bob has said:
“It was a pleasure to have such passionate and knowledgeable pupils with such intelligent views here to discuss important issues. I was asked questions on a range of local, national and international issues – very much showing just how aware young people on our Island are about the world.”
