Role-play sessions for children are coming to the Isle of Wight and are to be run by a new Island business, Isle Imagine.
Isle imagine runs role-playing sessions for young children under 6 and is the Island’s first pop-up role-play village.
Using custom-made bespoke backdrops and high-quality toys children are encouraged to be whatever they want to be, from firefighter to doctor from mechanic to beautician.
Sessions usually last around 90 minutes and cost around £7 per child. To start with sessions will be held in Ryde and Newport. Specialist SEN sessions will also be run in the future.
Owner, Emma Early, has said:
“I am a mum of 4 and have worked in childcare and with children of all ages for 24 years.
“I believe that role play for children is a crucial part of learning and that by igniting your child’s imagination, you are helping them learn and develop their communication skills”

Likely more woke early brainwashing one expects, to make what was unacceptable before the world went mad, to become acceptable and the norm, despite much of it making the world a worse place to live and raise children.
With so many youngsters now having mental health issues perhaps induced by having evolution turned against mainstream beliefs in the name of political correctness, often at odds or clashing to what their parents and grandparents believe, so they don’t know where their minds should be nowadays.
But, isn’t this exactly what small children do anyway, role playing and games, at pre school etc?
For 3 and 4 year olds, pre school is free for something like 570 hours a year. Pre schools are also inspected by OFSTED to make sure they’re being run ok, maybe the owners could confirm if this is the case with Isle Imagine as well?
Sorry if that sounds a bit negative but it left me puzzled as to what it’s offering over and above attending a pre school?
I think what the ‘thinking’ is that now so many parents are not fit to raise a Goldfish let alone a child that they will do what real Mothers and Fathers used to do, pre being glued to a screen all day and interact with their income stream, aka their children.
They can’t say as much without offending clients but you are correct and children will do this naturally.
As another said though, could be a way of introducing PC thinking at an early age.
Looking at the photo I hope these youngsters are being closely overseen. Bricks are heavy and if even a grown-up drops one on a finger it can realy hurt and cause injury.
