The Isle of Wight has been chosen as the second location in the country to launch a new innovative health and social care technology entitled Life co.
The technology takes a step forward to revolutionise care across the Island, allowing people to receive a personalised care plan for themselves or a loved one in a matter of clicks. Life co allows users to find local tailored care packages, not just to cater to theirs or their loved one’s needs, but care they actually want, including if a given carer needs to have a particular skill, language or personality.
The overarching goal of the technology is to help people find tailored care package that will make living independently more accessible to many, as the site is similar to that of a highly personalised comparison site.
With only a few clicks of a button, a user will then have personalised offers of care returned from pre-approved, quality, local providers, in a way that means the individual can easily compare the options and make the right choice for them. They can see reviews of the care provider and ratings from the Care Quality Commission.
With the support of Life co, Isle of Wight residents will now be able to find local, tailored care for their loved one in need of extra help, whether this be a few days a week or full time care in 3 very easy steps, using this online form.
The technology has been welcomed by local care providers and the Isle of Wight Council proving that Life co acts as a cornerstone within the care community.
Life co spokesperson, Katie Gartland, comments:
“We are delighted to be launching Life co in the Isle of Wight. We’re looking forward to seeing how the launch of the technology on the Isle of Wight will transform the lives of the island’s community.
“Our goal is to ensure Isle of Wight residents feel safe and cared for whilst enjoying life and keeping their independence for as long as possible. We want to give family and friends a peace of mind and feel assured that their loved one is receiving the most suitable and best possible care for them.
“Life co launched in Birmingham at the end of last year and continues a to be a pioneering piece of technology that revolutionises amongst the care sector. The technology platform has already made a huge impact on lives, as we have been told by residents in the area”.
