The fundraising efforts of a hairdresser from Freshwater have been much-welcomed by the volunteers at Freshwater Independent Lifeboat.

Lifeboat crew member Ronan McCann recently joined Christina Toms in drawing the winner of a family weekend ticket for next month’s The Great Wonderfest.

Christina has been selling raffle tickets through Facebook and at her hairdressing salon in West Wight Sports & Community Centre for the past few weeks, raising vital funds for the independent life-saving organisation.

Richard Barton-Wood, Treasurer for Freshwater Independent Lifeboat said:

“Christina is an amazing supporter of the lifeboat. Not only is she donating these tickets, but also running a half marathon for us.”

Details of Christina’s forthcoming New Forest Half Marathon challenge can be found on her Virgin Money Just giving page at https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/ChristinaToms.
