Hovertravel have had to suspend their cross-Solent service this morning (Friday) due to the adverse weather conditions currently affecting the South of England.
A yellow weather warning for strong winds is in force from the IW Met Service until 16:00 this afternoon.
No hovers are currently operating between Ryde and Southsea. Instead, passengers are being diverted to Wightlink’s Fastcat catamaran service between Ryde Pier Head and Portsmouth Harbour.
Further updates are expected as the morning goes on, although services are not likely to resume until later in the day.
Wightlink and Red Funnel are not currently advising of any delays or cancellations.
