For the second time this weekend, Hovertravel have suspended their cross-Solent service.
Adverse weather conditions – namely strong winds – are being blamed for the cancellations of flights between Ryde and Southsea this morning (Sunday).
The operator says an update will be issued at 09:00, although this is no guarantee services will resume at that point.
Passengers should divert via to Wightlink’s Ryde Pier Head to Portsmouth catamaran Service.
All other cross-Solent travel is operating to timetable.
UPDATE – Services have now resumed.
An ‘ ill wind….’ also means less small craft bringing over the loss of another house, another green space, another school place, another doctor and dentist wait etc etc
