The Earl Mountbatten Hospice in Newport has received a donation of £2,440 from the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF).
The annual donation is made as a thank you to the whole team who provide expert medical, nursing and domiciliary end of life care and bereavement support to people in their own homes, care homes, St Mary’s Hospital and at the hospice itself.
David Foot, Assistant Provincial Grand Master for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Freemasons, recently presented the cheque to Nigel Hartley, CEO of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
Nigel Hartley said:
“We are always very thankful for the sustained support given to Earl Mountbatten Hospice by the Masons. They support us in so many ways and on so many occasions.
“This annual donation is important and supports us to continue to deliver our increasingly broad range of care services which are needed to meet the growing demands of a wider range of people.”
David Foot added:
“The work the Earl Mountbatten Hospice does, both in the hospice and out in the local community, is absolutely outstanding and we as Freemasons are proud to play a small part in supporting such a worthy charity.”
