A horse rider has been taken to hospital following an incident in Godshill this lunchtime (Sunday).
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service was called to Hollow Lane at around midday to reports of a woman laying in the road having dismounted from her horse.
Island Echo understands the rider fell from the animal when it lost balance.
Paramedics have conveyed the female to St Mary’s Hospital with leg injuries.
The horse is safe and the road is now clear.
