Retained firefighters from Freshwater Fire Station put their hoses and pumping equipment to the test yesterday evening (Tuesday) to help tidy up Freshwater Bay Boat Park.
The crew turned out to assist Freshwater Parish Council in clearing shingle and silt that had built up during the winter storms.
As a result of a couple of hours hard work the community now have their neat and tidy boat park back.
Freshwater utilised their pumping appliance and water carrier to clear the debris, which proved to be a good test to ensure everything is working as it should when the next emergency call comes in.
