On Wednesday (16th May), from 14:00 until 16:00, Action on Hearing Loss will be at Argyll House Surgery in Ryde offering FREE hearing checks.
This service is available exclusively on the Isle of Wight for over 18s as part of the Charity’s GP Engagement Project.
You will be asked to complete a short questionnaire to highlight any specific concerns you may have about your hearing, and/or difficulties you have or are experiencing, before having an initial assessment with a Siemens HearCheck screener. This will only take up 5 to 10 minutes of your time.
Hannah Crookes, Action on Hearing Loss’ Project Manager for the pilot scheme, said:
“We are pleased to be able to offer more opportunities for the public to get their hearing checked at no cost. You also don’t need to be registered at the Practice to attend!
“Over 190 people on the Isle of Wight have now utilised this service since the project began.
“If you have any concerns about your hearing, or you think a family member or friend may benefit from having their hearing checked, I would strongly recommend that you pop along to one of these free screening events”.
You are advised to call the Practice on 01983 562955 to book your appointment.
