Isle of Wight Pearl hosted their first guided walk on Saturday, kicking off the 21st Isle of Wight Walking Festival.

The beautiful 6.1-mile walk started from Isle of Wight Pearl on Military Road and progressed through to Mottistone Hollows and up to the mysterious Longstone. Walkers took in the heights of Brighstone Down before ascending towards Brighstone Village for a short ramble across the village back to Chilton Chine – and a well-deserved cuppa back at the Pearl Café!

“We are excited to be part of the walking festival this year and share one of our favourite walks. We met some lovely people who joined us for the walk and had some great feedback on the route.

“It is great to see so many people return year after year for this special event, I recommend anyone of any age and ability to get involved, get out, make friends and enjoy seeing new sights”.

23 walkers took part in the first of many guided walks as part of this year’s Isle of Wight Walking Festival. Isle of Wight Pearl will be hosting the same walk this Saturday (11th May 10:00/10:30). The walk lasts 2-and-a-half-hours.
