2 Isle of Wight firefighters have helped a Sandown resident get mobile again after both of his mobility scooters were stolen over the weekend.
Station Manager Julian Fountaine and Watch Manager Keith Cook have successfully recovered the scooters – with the help of their colleagues – after they were found dumped in Los Altos Park and in a nearby river.
The theft left the unnamed Island resident unable to get out and about. However, the kind actions of the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service employees mean he is now mobile once again.
The scooters were given a wash and returned to their rightful owner this morning (Wednesday).
