UPDATED: Fire crews from Ryde and Newport have been called to School Street in Ryde this evening (Friday).
Paramedics, Police and multiple fire appliances are on the scene off St John’s Road.
UPDATE @ 18:30 – Emergency services have been stood down from what has been deemed a false alarm.
2 appliances from Ryde and 1 from Newport, alongside the Incident Command Unit from Newport, were all mobilised to a block of flats over fears a fire had broken out.
