Firefighters from Ryde and Sandown have tackled a fire at a residential home in Sandown this morning (Thursday).
Two appliances were mobilised to Stonehaven Residential Home in Carter Street at around 05:45 after staff raised the alarm.
One male was treated at the scene by paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service for the effects of smoke inhalation.
It is understood the fire began from an electrical fault.
No one else was injured in the incident.
