Firefighters and Police were called to Military Road earlier this evening (Saturday) after a fire was discovered at the derelict Atherfield Bay Holiday Camp.
Crews from Newport and Freshwater were mobilised to the scene between Blackgang and Brighstone at around 21:30. Police were also called the incident.
Island Echo understands the fire is being treated as suspicious, which resulted in officers from Hampshire Constabulary conducting a search of the area.
The fire was successfully extinguished and emergency services returned to station shortly after.
