Firefighters from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have attended a property fire in Newport this evening (Saturday).
Two appliances from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to Forest Road at around 17:25 following reports of a small fire in the conservatory of a residential dwelling, as first reported by Island Echo.
Firefighters have fully extinguished the fire – after a neighbour tackled the flames – and have ventilated the property.
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service have treated three people at the scene for the effects of smoke inhalation.
Crews have now left the scene.
