UPDATED: Firefighters are responding to a road traffic collision on Marshcombe Shute in Brading this evening (Saturday).
Crews from Ryde and Sandown are in attendance at the scene between Yarbridge and Yaverland alongside Police and ambulance crews.
UPDATE @ 18:20 – One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance after their vehicle collided with a tree.
It was initially feared the occupants of the vehicle were trapped inside the small purple hatchback, however firefighters were stood down shortly after arriving on the scene after helping paramedics move the teenage casualty.
The road remains open in both directions whilst recovery of the car is arranged. No other vehicles were involved.
UPDATE: One female teenager is said to have escaped any serious injury in the incident.
The vehicle, a Peugeot, has now been recovered.
