A tree brought down as a result of strong winds is blocking the main road through Havenstreet this afternoon (Tuesday).
Motorists are having to turn around as a result of the obstruction between Stroudwood Road and Main Road, Havenstreet.
Island Roads are aware of the situation and are sending contractors to the scene.
Those travelling in the area should divert via the main Newport to Binstead road, or The Downs
UPDATE – The road has now re-opened.
