A popular paddling pool on East Cowes seafront has reopened for the summer season, the Town Council has announced today (Friday).
The pool, which is free to use and located next to the children’s play park, regularly attracts parents of young children during warmer weather but has been closed over the winter months and for parts of the coronavirus lockdown.
East Cowes Town Council has serviced the pool and applied a new coating of specialised rubberised paint to improve waterproofing and east of use. The 48 hour process of refilling it with water has now been completed after being started on Wednesday.
Residents and visitors can use the pool from today, and with warmer weather due later this week, many Islanders are expected to do just that!

And… when its Green and Slimy for gods sake empty and clean it! I had to report this myself once as it was unfit for anyone to be using it.
It won’t be long before some local brain dead scum throw broken glass into it as has been done so often.
