Police are hunting the driver of a vehicle that failed to stop at the scene of this morning’s collision on Long Lane.
Emergency services – including the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service – were called at 08:04 to reports of a 3-vehicle crash.
Crews arrived on scene between Staplers Road and Robin Hill Roundabout to find a Ford Transit vehicle transporter and a Ford Eco Sport with front end damage.
Police have confirmed that a third vehicle – possibly a grey Volvo – failed to stop at the scene.
Long Lane was immediately closed in both directions at the height of rush hour, and remains closed as recovery gets underway.
The investigation is ongoing.
What a wanker like he isn’t going to be found….but then again bet he dose’nt get any real justice..
If caught just a slap on the wrist and
oh you naughty boy, don’t do it again!
What a complete joke.
Islandwide CCTV / ANPR would help in such cases.
