UPDATED: A vehicle has been involved in a road traffic collision on Binstead Main Road this afternoon (Saturday), damaging several posts lining the carriageway.
Police and paramedics are currently in attendance at the scene near to Ringwood Road after being called to the incident at just before 15:00.
A VW Polo, believed to have been driven by a disabled female driver, has careered into several small wooden posts at the side the road.
Firefighters from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene, however were promptly stood down upon arrival.
Traffic is heavy but flowing in both directions.
UPDATE – The scene has now been cleared and traffic is flowing freely in both directions.
The female driver was assessed by paramedics, however was not conveyed to hospital.
