Independent Arts are introducing ‘DanceSense’, a new member of the DanceMakers family.
DanceSense is a gentle movement based programme, designed for people living with a neurological condition which have affected their mobility, e.g. Parkinsons, MS and MND. It aims to give participants the chance to express themselves creatively through dance and build confidence and strength in a warm, safe and friendly environment.
Amy Normanton, Project Manager says:
“DanceSense is a really exciting project, it not only provides participants with a chance to express themselves creatively. It also gives them the chance to socialise with others living with similar conditions. Building small supportive communities like this can be very beneficial. We would encourage family, friends and carers to accompany participants to sessions too”.
DanceSense launches on Monday 30th April. Sessions will run every Monday at Newport Methodist Church Small Hall, Quay St, Newport from 11:00-12:30. Refreshments provided. A voluntary donation to Independent Arts is appreciated.
Places are limited. For more information or to book your place telephone 01983 822437 or email [email protected].
