Newport’s Long Lane is blocked this morning (Wednesday) as a result of a 2-car crash – the second this week.
Police and paramedics were first called to the scene at around 11:00 following reports of a collision on one of the main roads out of Newport.
The crash has involved a Nissan Leaf and a Fiat 500.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary says 2 people have sustained minor injuries.
Long Lane is currently closed between Landscape Lane and Downend.
It was just 2 days ago that Island Echo reported on a hit-and-run crash on the main route.
UPDATE @ 12:30 – Long Lane has now reopened with both vehicles recovered.
Everyday there are unnecessary crashes.
