UPDATED: Police and paramedics are attending a road traffic collision in Arreton this lunchtime (Tuesday), which is causing delays for motorists.
2 vehicles have collided near to Arreton Barns on the main Sandown to Newport road. Traffic is said to be heavy in both directions with 1 side of the carriageway blocked.
UPDATE @ 13:30 – No one has been seriously injured in the incident, which has involved a black Vauxhall Corsa and a grey Hyundai i10.
Police have closed the road in the Sandown direction at Arreton Cross, however traffic is free flowing heading towards Newport.
Recovery of both vehicles has been arranged.
UPDATE @ 14:15 – Stag Lane Motors have recovered both vehicles and fluids on the carriageway have been cleared by Island Roads.
The road has now reopened.
