COWES MAN CHARGED WITH CAUSING GRIEVOUS BODILY HARM GIVEN CROWN COURT DATE

A Cowes man who is alleged to have caused grievous bodily harm with intent to another male, following an argument about parking, is to appear at the Isle of Wight Crown Court in May. Giovanni Turco, 53, of Laurel Estate in Cowes, appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court charged with Section 18 – grievous bodily harm with intent and harassment without violence. It is alleged that during an incident at a property on Westminster Lane in Newport, Turco assaulted a male leaving him with facial injuries. The case has been sent up to the Isle of Wight Crown Court where Turco will appear on 7th May. He has been granted unconditional bail until that time.
