The Government is hoping to start vaccinating against COVID-19 next month, with the bulk of the vaccination roll out in the New Year, Health Secretary Matt Hancock has announced this evening (Friday).
The Pfizer BioNTech vaccine is now going through a rigorous analysis as a result of the Government formally asking the independent regulator, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), to assess the vaccine with a view to authorising its use as soon as possible.
Tonight’s news is a massive breakthrough in the battle against COVID-19, with the Pfizer vaccine said to be 95% effective with no serious safety concerns. Other vaccines are also being created.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock has said he is instructing the NHS to be ready to distribute the vaccine to population ‘as fast as it can be produced’, from as early as December.
The vaccine will be available across the UK through the NHS, for free, and will be distributed based on need. Priority will be given to those at greatest risk.
It’s been confirmed that the vaccine will be delivered through vaccination centres, through vaccination hubs at hospitals and then, in the New Year, a community vaccination roll out through GPs and pharmacists.
Furthermore, it has been announced tonight that free flu jabs will be made available for all over 50s from December.

So if you or any of your family are unlucky enough to catch COVID and you all have refused a vaccine, you should not use the NHS 111 service or use any NHS resources if you get really sick and need to be hospitalised? Oh but wait, of course you would…… The report states, No serious side effects. Rather than spouting, “This is not for me or any of my family” you should acknowledge and respectfully admire the thousands of volunteers who have taken part in these clinical trials to allow a vaccine to be successful and therefore give hope to billions of people around the world.
Would not go to hospital if any of us got ill thank you. Let your immune system fight it off. So no NHS for us! And I work so no FREE PRESCRIPTIONS either.

The time that this virus has been going is short, so it therefore follows a vaccine has also been in existence for an even shorter time. Ons figs 339 people have died under 60 with no underlying health issues since February. Please beare in mind 1500 die in the UK every day of all sorts. 96% of people that died with covid had other serious medical conditions. These are facts! And average age of covid deaths is 82! Normal life expectancy in UK is 81.
Why is that a problem? Less traffic on the roads and they won’t have to build extra houses
