The Isle of Wight Council has re-opened the steps that lead down onto the beach at Alum Bay.
Work has been completed to repair the steps that make up part of Public Footpath T22 after the route was deemed unsafe.
Access to the beach is now open – just in time for the anticipated influx of visitors to the Isle of Wight post-lockdown.
shame the council can’t repair the steps down to Luccombe beach
Or the ones down onto Shanklin Beach from Rylstone Park.
Bit of a silly statement it still has to go before six steering committees and the full council
which takes us up to November 2025
Shame they can’t fix the floating bridge for the islanders 1st !!!! .
If the council are involved i think i might give those steps a miss.
