An Isle of Wight charity that speciailises in assisting residents with advice surrounding the law and their rights is celebrating Volunteer Week for 2021.
Citizens Advice is celebrating the week with a virtual afternoon tea for all our volunteer advisers, researchers, digital assistants, and Advice First Aiders.
Over the past year they have supported over 5,500 Islanders with nearly 16,000 issues and deserve the recognition for carrying on, changing the way they were used to contacting clients and most of them volunteering from their kitchens, living rooms and sheds.
Paul Savill, Chief Officer at Citizens Advice IW, said:
“Our volunteers are the core part of our service as they have been since we started in 1964.
“They are an amazing group of people from all walks of life and whilst I know they don’t like being in the limelight I have to take this opportunity to say a massive thankyou on behalf of everybody they help and support”
