UPDATED: Firefighters from Newport are this afternoon (Tuesday) attending a chimney fire in the town.
One appliance from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is currently tackling the fire at a property on Highfield Road, Pan.
The service were alerted to the incident at just before 13:30.
No one has been injured and the situation is under control.
UPDATE @ 15:05 – The fire has been extinguished and the single crew have left the scene.
Earlier today firefighters from Ryde tackled a chimney fire in Salters Road, Haylands. The fire was extinguished by 08:00.
