Despite the pouring rain and adverse conditions, dozens of guests turned up for Appley rockers Garry and Viv Willis’s charity gig on Saturday afternoon – Isle of Wight Day.
Viv, who was also celebrating her 65th birthday, and Garry raised more than £60 for Ryde Inshore Rescue at the hour long event. Spectators watched from a gazebo in the couple’s back garden.
It was Garry and Viv’s third gig in aid of the local charity and in all they have raised about £300.
As usual singer Garry and keyboard player Viv, formerly of the 70s band White Satin, played a range of popular hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
