Rob Johnson, Chief Executive of the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce and former professional IRONMAN athlete, has been appointed as the new Chair of Triathlon England.
This appointment follows a competitive recruitment process and marks a significant leadership change for the governing body of triathlon in England.
Rob succeeds Debbie Clarke, who moved into the role of Chair of British Triathlon in July, with Kevin Currell having served as interim Chair during the selection period. He will take up the position in January 2026.
Johnson, who continues in his role at the Chamber, brings broad commercial experience spanning multiple industries, including senior roles at Speedo International and Liz Earle Beauty Company. He is also a qualified British Triathlon coach, combining business leadership with deep sporting knowledge.
On his appointment, Rob Johnson has said:

Ruth Daniels, Chief Executive of Triathlon England and British Triathlon, has welcomed the appointment, highlighting Mr Johnson’s leadership experience and passion for the sport as key strengths for driving the organisation’s next phase of development.
