A crash involving a car and a bus resulted in the service being withdrawn earlier today (Friday).
The incident occurred at around 11:45 on Moa Place just outside West Wight Sports Centre.
A Needles Breezer bus and a Kia collided with one another – the latter sustained heavy front end damage.
Traffic in the area remained heavy for a short while.
As a result, Southern Vectis withdrew the 11:44 to Alum Bay, saying:
“The Needles Breezer from Sainsburys to Yarmouth via Alum Bay, at 1144, has been withdrawn due to a small issue with the vehicle.”

Stealthy little bus, sneaking into unsuspecting driver like that!
What you mean is an old person pulled out of the car park and didn’t see the big bus driving down the road
How did you know it was an old person, plonker!!!
Unless you go grey and bald at 20 look at the picture closely. Maybe you need to go to the opticians before you plough into someone. LOL
Sadly it is you who needs your eyes testing, the “grey and bald” head is one of the round tops on the two pillars outside the toilets, tosser
a good bit of island driving
More bad island driving. Look at the state of that. Maybe lay off the drink and drugs.
I’m sure it was a day tripper down from Burley.
Why do you bother saying anything
There’s a new client for Rutherford opticians!
Another person putting in there own roundabout
Must remember to look both ways when joining the main road
Should have gone to Specsavers.
Sorry I didn’t see you ,,,,,,,,,,
Has anyone seen Kev little pecker
Yea Kev had it chopped off
The bus is travelling on the correct side of the road. Looks as if the Kia driver has driven into the bus? Some people blame the roads here on the island. As I’ve commented before, it’s not the roads which cause the accidents, it’s some of the useless, unsafe drivers that use them!
