British boxing legend Nigel Benn and his undefeated champion son Connor are currently on the Isle of Wight training ahead of Connor’s grudge match with Chris Eubank Jr.
2 weight world champion Nigel and his son Connor were spotted on the Isle of Wight over the weekend enjoying the sun as part of the continuing training camp.
The duo were seen on Victoria Road in Yarmouth yesterday afternoon (Sunday) before they and their entourage enjoyed a meal on the terrace at The Hut in Colwell – Connor enjoying some lobster at the restaurant.
Connor – nicknamed The Destroyer after his dad – is currently training for a fight with Chris Eubank Jr. The son of the man his father fought twice back in the early 1990s.
On both those occasions, it wasn’t to be for Nigel, losing the 1st by a technical knockout and drawing the 2nd on a split decision. But the feud continued and is set to be reignited in October with Connor Benn putting his 21-0 unbeaten record on the line.
The 25-year-old WBA Continental Welterweight Champion was seen running in the West Wight just before 06:00 this morning (Monday) and this afternoon was spotted walking around Tesco in Freshwater with his father.
Benn faces Eubank Jr on 8th October at the O2 arena in London.
