“We are delighted and honoured that Brightbulb should make us their Charity of the Year. Their inspirational creative internet support over the years has been crucial in promoting to a wider public the charity’s programme of childhood cancer research and support for local children afflicted with this life-threatening illness.“

The Caring Cancer Trust raises much needed funds to provide escorted Healing Holidays of Adventure for children recovering from Cancer, helping them regain their self-confidence and re-ignite their passion for life after the trauma and suffering caused by their illness. In addition, they fund ethical original non-animal tested research into the causes, early diagnosis, innovative treatment and cure of Cancer, and prevention of Cancer at pre-cancerous stage.

Matt Jeffery, Brightbulb Founder and Managing Director adds:

“We decided to start our charity support scheme after listening to Geoff Underwood, the Isle of Wight Chamber president and owner of IFPL speak at the Chamber’s business award evening last year about businesses needing to support charities to a higher degree. This really struck a chord and we decided that we should act and do all that we can to support our Island charities and hopefully inspire other businesses to also do so. For us the Caring Cancer Trust was an obvious choice.”

Aside from BrightBulb collecting donations for the charity from its offices in Wootton Bridge and at events across the Island, Matt and the team have a schedule of fundraising activities taking place over the year to raise even more for the Caring Cancer Trust.
