The main road between Ryde and Sandown will be closed for several hours this evening (Thursday) for repairs to a manhole cover.
High Street, Brading will be closed between 19:30 and 23:00 to enable the essential carriageway works outside The Bugle Pub.
It’s not the first time that repairs to the ironwork have had to be undertaken.
The road will be hard closed between Quay Lane and the Bullring, although traffic will be diverted from Rowborough Lane via St Helens and Bembridge to Yarbirgde in both directions.
Brading High Street is expected to be closed again next week, for 2 evenings, to allow for kerb repairs. The closures will occur on 2 nights only between Tuesday 9th and Thursday 11th March.
UPDATE @ 19:28 – It is advised that the road will now remain open this evening with the work undertaken under temporary traffic lights instead.
