A new fundraising initiative between Freshwater Independent Lifeboat and Co-Op Funeralcare has been launched on the Isle of Wight.
Books in good condition can now be handed in to Funeralcare homes across the Island at Newport, East Cowes, Ryde, Lake, Shanklin and Freshwater. These donated books will then be collected, sorted, priced and put on sale at Freshwater Lifeboat’s shop – which re-opens on 6th April. This will help the charity to continue to save lives at sea.
The initiative has come about thanks to Sue and Eve at Co-Op Funeralcare Freshwater, both of whom are regular supporters of FILB.
