Bembridge RNLI came to the aid of a charter angling boat with 8 persons on board this morning (Saturday) after it broke down close to the Nab Tower.
The volunteer lifeboat crew launched the station’s All Weather Lifeboat at around 09:30 to assist ‘Charlotte Rose’, a 31ft vessel from Langstone Harbour.
Having ascertained that a local repair was not possible, a tow was secured by 09:45 and the Charlotte Rose was towed back to Langstone.
The temporary relief lifeboat the Frank and Anne Wilkinson returned to Bembridge and was rehoused by 11:00.
