Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked to investigate and get “eyes on” a report of 4 children under Sandown Pier earlier this afternoon (Monday).
Bembridge was stood down on route as the first informant confirmed the children were back ashore safe & well.
A spokesperson for Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team said:
“They did exactly the right thing by calling 999 and asking for the Coastguard”
