Research by Tripadvisor has named 2 Isle of Wight towns as the fastest-growing domestic travel destinations in the UK.
Tripadvisor has released its Summer Travel Index 2023 which provides insight into travel demand for the months of June, July and August.
The general trends show that 43% of Brits intend to travel more this summer than last with 31% choosing to make the most of the Great British Summer and holidaying exclusively at home.
It looks set to be a particularly busy tourist season for the Island with those potentially holidaying at home this Summer choosing 2 Isle of Wight destinations at the top of their wish list, with Bembridge occupying top spot and Ventnor coming in 2nd.
The rest of the top 10 is filled by other beauty spots including in Wales, Scotland and Cornwall…

Not mucn to do in Bembridge thesedays since the Tollgate Cafe closed down.
The new seafood cafe is not the same.
You cannot even buy a bucket and spade in Bembridge easily.
Personally I give the edge to Ventnor., best restaurants on the Island in Ventnor and
breathtaking views.
Also healthiest place in UK for air.
Bembridge could be so nice, sadly when in Bembridge the stench coming
from the Harbour / Houseboats is terrible.
Where the waste goes when the Houseboats flush their toilets I dread to think.
Also Embankment Road is full of Containers and rubble, Bembridge could be so
nice if it was aimed at tourism, it looks like a Industrial site.
The back of the car park where Bennet’s yard was based is now filled with low life travellers aka unemployed spongers.
They have a lot of tatty vans and use the car park to repair cars and vans and use the public toilet to empty their excrement blocking them up frequently and rendering them out of action for visitors and locals in need.
These beings used to be housed behind Tesco in Ryde, and us residents are fed up paying high c.tax to live in a better class neighbourhood than have it turned into a Gypsy encampment.
Surely a site could be found at Lynbottom tip for these sort?
There is no one running the Island.
The Island is totally clueless, useless and lawless.
The Council are a shower of sh*t and the Island MP
does not even live on the Island.
Such a shame it is a lovely place with NO rules.
Bembridge is a very well kept village. The park is always tidy and safe for children to play within, the beaches and countryside a joy, and the shops and pubs compliment this large village perfectly.
A very tidy and neat village and the residents and local council deserve full praise for the hard work they clearly do to keep it as such.
