BalletWorks is to present an online ‘Evening of Dance’ to raise vital funds for Mountbatten Isle of Wight on Friday 6th August.
Over the past 6 years, Robert Robinson and a small team under the name of BalletWorks have successfully collaborated with dancers and artists from some of the world’s leading dance companies. Every summer it has been a ritual for the team to gather on the Isle of Wight to showcase the highest calibre of dance to the Island’s community and raise money for Mountbatten Isle of Wight.
In order to continue the contribution to local charities, BalletWorks are this year curating an online evening of 45-minutes of pre-recorded pieces from an array of multi-disciplined artists.
Robert Robinson Artistic Director of BalletWorks said:
“Over the years BalletWorks has supported Mountbatten raising over £20,000. Despite the pandemic we wanted to continue to play our part by raising as much money for the Mountbatten Isle of Wight as possible, to ensure that Mountbatten can continue to provide care for their patients and staff.
“As it’s still unclear when we will be able to organise live performances again, it’s time we thought outside of the box. For many this is a troubling time and for us it’s important that we raise money for the Mountbatten Hospice and support our local community on the Isle of Wight.”
