Students from 2 schools on the Isle of Wight took to the stage at the Portsmouth Guildhall last night (Tuesday) as they competed in Day 2 of the 2019 Rock Challenge.
It was a fairly successful night for both Ryde School with Upper Chine and The Bay CE School as they clinched a number of Awards of Excellence, although missed out on the podium spot.
Both Ryde and The Bay secured Awards of Excellence for Performance Skill and Video Performance.
Individually, Ryde School were awarded for Costuming Character and Student Leadership, whilst The Bay CE were recognised for Drama, Soundtrack, Set Design and Function, Entertainment, Lighting and Stage Crew.
There was a further award for the students from Sandown as they were awarded the Rock Clothing Award for Spirit of Rock Challenge.
