19-year-old Tyler Hetherington, who was found to be driving whilst disqualified back in the Summer, has been handed another 1-year driving ban.
Hetherington, of High Street in Ryde, pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified when he appeared in front of the District Judge on Tuesday (15th November).
The Magistrates Court heard that in the early hours of 14th August this year, Hetherington was stopped by Police after he was seen driving an Audi A4 in an erratic manner on George Street in Ryde.
When stopped, it was discovered he was already disqualified from driving and was driving without insurance.
The 19-year-old was handed another 12-month driving ban. In addition, he was also sentenced to a 12-month community order with 120 hours of unpaid work attached and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 victim surcharge.

The first ban didn’t bother this piece of scum so what makes the judge imagine the latest one will be observed, it should have been jailed and not just given a slap on the wrist.
So less than £200 out of pkt, probably only having to pay at £2 a week as well. Cheap way to motor when anyone else his age would be paying over £1200 insurance,£150 road tax, £100s for MOT and maintenance. Pays not to be legal savings of £2000 a year. He will be already driving again and not be caught for several months. Punishments need to be greater. Legal driver could get couple of £90 PCNs just for parking in Lidl and accidently entering reg number wrong.
Absolutely spot on. Bet he gets done a third time soon!
Probably already in the system waiting for court tine
If you can’t remember your car reg, should you really be driving ? Just like the woman I watched for 5 mins trying to reverse off her drive 🙁
Whilst he is a tool, it’s clear he’s not the sharpest tool in the box. What a complete t**t
19 years of age and was already disqualified? He should have had a five or ten year ban the first time, and then again this time with a higher fine or prison. No insurance, so what if he killed someone.. Surely this should be classed as driving WITH Intent !!!
All driving bans should have a 5 year suspended prison sentence attached automatically – much greater deterrent
He will not be deterred by the current sentence – and will undoubtedly offend again.
the car should be crushed.
More bad Audis on the Isle Of Wight
Are you a down mr?
Not a good day for the Hetherington name.
Maybe related?
One word off advice don’t get caught
