The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has transferred an elderly male patient to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth this morning (Monday).
The bright yellow life-saving helicopter landed at Wootton Recreation Ground at just before 10:15 following a request from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Paramedics on the ground rendezvoused with the HEMS team, who have since airlifted the male to Portsmouth. The patient’s condition is thought to be cardiac related.
The helicopter took off at 10:50.
