Sunseekers will soon be able to take advantage of a fleet of kayaks, paddleboards, and sun loungers on the beach in Ryde.
Ryde Town Council has announced that planning permission for a storage container – to be located next to the Harbour Master’s office – has been granted by the Isle of Wight Council.
The new arrival will facilitate a new hire centre, enabling members of the public to hire deck chairs, sunloungers, paddleboards and kayaks to use between the Harbour and Appley Tower. Over 250 items will be available for beachgoers to hire, and will also include windbreaks and parasols.
‘Ryde Leisure’ will operate between April and October each year for a maximum of 5 years.
