35 people have now been discharged from St Mary’s Hospital after recovering from COVID-19, according to the Isle of Wight NHS Trust.
The latest figures available show there are now a possible 109 active cases of coronavirus on the Isle of Wight. However, not all of these cases will be inpatients at hospital and therefore their current status within the community will be unknown.
To date, a total of 178 cases have been confirmed with 34 hospital deaths and 35 hospital recoveries. There have been a further 14 deaths within the community, bringing the total death toll to 48.
The latest death at St Mary’s was recorded on Sunday.
So still around fifty percent chance of recovery to never coming out if admitted to hospital then with CV.
Would love to know the percentage of those who do come out, just how many are left with likely permanent damage to their bodies and lifestyle.
All such seems to be kept very quiet, which worries me more than knowing the facts.
Anyone know of anyone who had come out and if they are fully recovered or what?

I feel sorry for you janette, and hope your cousin recovers. Is your cousin, 30, 40, 50? In good health ,with no underlying health issues? I doubt it.
Janette, sorry to hear that, and thank you for sharing it, as I have heard of someone from the Isle now on the mainland, losing all their fingers on one hand because of a blood clot caused by CV.
Just wondering what percentage of people, and the risk is of such awful things happening.

I have NO doubts CV will indeed by used by Governments to change what it wants to change, the same as it will be ‘used’ by the public to swindle as much cash from the Government as they can, and in any way they can using CV loans, grants, furrlough etc.
And, markets will be raised and lowered by people in the know spreading false news, to make a fortune. I would never be surprised to see somehow, CV used to try to stop us leaving the EU.
But IF it were only the EU or West proclaiming the CV to be so deadly, I would consider it to be perhaps a means of control. Yet as China which cares little about it’s own people, and has no come back, as their Gov can never be voted out, then I think the threat to live and life long damage is very real, and likely very contagious

Thank you weaver for a sensible and logical debate. I can see your point of view and respect your opinion. But did you know China now has a seat at the UN human rights council! ? This changes everything about the world they are trying to create. China’s social credit system is going to be part of the world’s culture, they have already started implementing, tracking app’s, reporting on neighbours to mention two. The agenda 2030 is the end goal. Please go read this document, and you will see where this fits in.
