£3,000 RAISED BY FIRE STATION CLOTHING BANKS ON THE ISLE OF WIGHT

A fantastic £3,000 has been raised for The Fire Fighters Charity thanks to clothing banks located at fire stations across the Island.

Islanders have been giving generously over the past year to help sick and injured firefighters and the families of those lost in the line of duty.

It’s hard to miss the big yellow boxes that are situated outside the Island’s 10 fire stations.

One of the donation points is situated outside East Cowes Fire Station. A spokesperson for the retained crew has said:

“We would just like to say a massive thank you to all of you who have used the clothing bank at the station, you have all helped make a real difference to firefighters in their time of need”.
