The Bay CE Primary School picked up a number of awards at the Global Rock Challenge 2019 Southern J Rock Final B on Wednesday evening, an achievement matched by Medina College and Christ the King College on Thursday.
9 schools from across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, West Sussex and Hertfordshire competed in the junior event at the Portsmouth Guildhall.
The Bay CE Primary were given Awards of Excellence for Concept, Soundtrack, Entertainment and Lighting. They were also handed the J Rock Award for Student Leadership.
Lats night (Thursday), Medina College and Christ the King College went up against 10 other schools in the Rock Challenge Southern Open Final A. Although students from both schools missed out on a podium place, they were all recognised with a number of Awards of Excellence.
Medina College secured awards for Performance Skill, Stage Use, Set Design and Function, Costuming Character, Entertainment. They also received the Rock Challenge Award for Positive Inclusion.
Christ the King College bagged Awards of Excellence for Choreography, Performance Skill, Stage Use, Drama, Visual Enhancement, Entertainment, Lighting and Stage Use. They also picked up the Rock Challenge Awards for Parental Involvement.
