Sandown Carnival Association is offering a number of grants of £250 to encourage more groups to join in this year’s 130th carnival celebrations in Sandown.
Groups may apply for grants towards the cost of their carnival projects to cover materials, artist time, training, research and development, venue hire, rental costs, documentation and instruments.
In 2019, Sandown Carnival is celebrating 130 years since the first event was held in the town back in 1889.
The grant application process is open to any not-for-profit group, school or community organisation who will be participating in at least 2 of the 3 main Sandown Carnival processions. These are Children’s Day (Friday 26th July), Main Carnival (Saturday 27th July) and Illuminated Carnival (Wednesday 28th August).

Successful applicants will be notified soon after the closing date. Late applications will NOT be assessed. Emailed applications are not acceptable.
