The Isle of Wight Council’s 1Leisure facilities will re-open from Monday (12th April), with hopes of returning to a full service in June.

Staff at 1Leisure Medina, The Heights and Westridge have been working hard to get the Island’s council-run venues ready for reopening.

From Monday, services will resume in line with the government roadmap and the plan is to get back to the full 1Leisure service by Monday 21st June, when all social restrictions are set to be lifted.

Alex Minns, Assistant Director of Neighbourhoods, explains:

“The 1Leisure team are busy getting all the centres ready for our members to get fit and stay fit.

“We’re excited that the full 1Leisure service is coming back at last, and we’re determined to make it work.

“We’ll be making sure that everyone – staff and visitors alike – will be safe when they come to one of our facilities.

“So be sure to follow the instructions the staff give you, and check our website regularly to keep up to date with the latest news.
