54-year-old Amanda Realey has been handed down an 18-month prison sentence after waging a campaign of stalking and abuse against her neighbours in Brading. Realey caused relentless suffering to local residents between 25th May and 14th September last year by persistently hurling verbal insults at them. Things got so bad that 1 of the victims moved house to escape the abuse. The 54-year-old, of Lower Furrlongs, would routinely shout foul language at neighbours whilst cackling, and on one occasion she pegged notes to a neighbour’s fence which were scrawled with insults and obscene language. The offending continued online when, on 20th June, Realey published a video of a neighbour mowing the lawn to her Facebook page. The Facebook post and the accompanying video contained a barrage of insults directed at the victim. Following a number of enquiries, Realey was charged with 2 counts of stalking involving serious alarm or distress, and 1 count of sending an offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing message. She admitted all of the offences and was sentenced on Friday (23rd February)at Isle of Wight Crown Court. PC Caroline Woodgate has said:
“Realey’s behaviour has been nothing short of horrendous, and the relentless abuse that local residents have suffered has been appalling. “No one in the community should be subjected to any kind of abuse, let alone to the levels that Realey lowered herself in order to make the lives of good people a misery. “I am pleased that this has resulted in Realey being sent to jail, and hope this provides some reassurance to local residents.”

Why did the police allow this hate to continue so long? Could have turned into something much more dangerous, either someone dealing with it in their own way or her becoming violent. Tory Brittan, if a snowflake social media darlin is attacked, it’s stopped, but when normal people are attacked on a daily basis, takes months for something to be done.
I hope the people affected have some peace now from this vial woman.

What will happen when she’s released? Will she return to the same address? As far as I’m aware she lives in council housing. If she’s moved afterwards, who else will have to deal with her as a nasty neighbour?
Lets hope someone told the benefits agency so they can stop everything she is not entitled to, made herself intentionally homeless as well, perhaps portsmouth would like her when the prison system has finished with her.
Wow, 18 months for that! There are thugs, drug dealers, attempted murderers, etc. getting away with far less time than that. Must be more available space in women’s prisons.

Crazy world. You can physically assault someone causing long term life changing damage and get away with a suspended sentence. Swear at your neighbours and get locked up, only in Britain.
